Information we collect

GtrLib does not require an account to browse its chord library. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used. Google Analytics may collect or receive information such as pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, browser and device details, language, and interactions with the site.

On GtrLib, these interactions include chord-page views, chord type and variation, scrolling, outbound links, app-store and product-site clicks, and use of the chord-search interface. We do not intentionally send the text you enter in chord search, account information, or precise location to Google Analytics. Query strings are removed from the page address sent to Analytics and automatic site-search collection is disabled.

How we use information

We use analytics information to:

• measure visits, content popularity, and how visitors move through the chord library;
• identify navigation, search, and performance improvements;
• understand which links to GtrLib-related products and app stores are useful; and
• create aggregated reporting and audiences for measurement and, where permitted, relevant marketing.

We do not sell personal information. Any advertising use of Analytics audiences will be subject to the consent and other requirements that apply where you are located.

Cookies and Google Analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to distinguish visits and measure usage. Google processes Analytics information under its own privacy policy. You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and can install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

You can use your browser settings to block or remove cookies. Blocking analytics cookies may limit our ability to understand how the website is performing, but it will not prevent you from using the chord library.

Sharing and retention

Analytics data is shared with Google to provide Google Analytics. We retain and use reports only for the purposes described above and in line with the retention controls configured for our Analytics property. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the security and integrity of GtrLib.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to the processing of your personal information.
